cal has become a big part of my life, as most medical clinics, you experience many types of events, some good and some sad. The event that I'm referring to, is the event of life. I have worked in the medical field for about three years now, it has made me a stronger person then I knew I was, until being the strongest of myself was the only option I had. I work with many types of people which is one of the reason why my job is so interesting. All of which my patients are always so delightful to work with, however it may make my job difficult at times, trying not to become attached or develop friendships with your patients is hard, but at the end of the day it's somewhat to your best interest not to become close to them. For the next day you may be walking into an empty bed in a room with white walls that doesn't seem to be as bright as it did yesterday. I went into the medical field thinking that I could make a difference, and though my name may not be one they remember or acknowledge in years to come, I do know that I will always remember the smiles I bring to my patients and the comfort I may bring to their families when I tell them that I'm going to do all in my power to make their loved one feel at home. My job isn't only about getting my patients health back to good condition but to make my patients feel safe and to assure them that we want to help them in every way possible. Allowing all my patients the ability to keep their hopes up and the positive attitude that they are going to walk out of our facility even though they came by ambulance with a broken hip, assuring them that mostly anything is possible if you keep trying. My job has many responsibilities but my most important is to give all my patients the support they need, the respect they desire and the freedom to say I can do this.
